Kakuzan’s food and the circular agriculture
In Tashiro village, many farmers Ugo beef, a famous Japanese black wagyu beef. Thus, the rice farmers use the traditional way of drying their rice with the natural sunshine, to store the rice straws and use them as the food and bedding for the cattles.
The excrements of those cattles fertelizes the soil to grow the organic products of Tashiro.
Distancing from the modern agriculture symbolized by mass-production, cost-reduction and productivity-driven style, Tashiro maintains its nostalgic landscape while creating safe and delicious agricultural products.
In Kakuzan, we provide the special hasagake solar rice, organic vegetables, mountain plants and wild mushrooms. Please enjoy the relaxing time by the irori fireplace and try the richness of their taste.
